He began his career at the age of nine, appearing in 45 films between 1953 and 1999, including "El niño y la niebla", "La edad de la violencia", "Mecánica nacional", "La isla de los hombres solos", and "El valle de los miserables", among others. He also acted in telenovelas, such as "Clase 406", "Cuando seas mía" and "Entre la vida y la muerte". He was the son of actor Alejandro Ciangherotti Erbelia and Mercedes Soler, and father of actors Alejandro Ciangherotti III and Alan Ciangherotti.
