Gilbert M Baer 81, of Enola passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at the Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill. Gill was born on September 1, 1938 in Harrisburg and was a son of the late Gilbert M. Baer and Edna P. (Myers) Baer. He is a graduate of Lemoyne High School. Gill was a skilled salesman and owner of Gill Baer Trailer Sales and Casual Carefree Furniture. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church of Mechanicsburg, Lowther Manor Masonic Lodge #781 since 1960, a member of 26 years of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest #43 – past Grand Tall Cedar, a 35 year member of the Harrisburg Consistory and Zembo Shrine Directors Unit.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Dixie L. Baer (2019). Surviving are his 3 children, Dr. Robert W. Baer and wife Susan, of Dickinson, ND, Cindy L. Baer of Hauppauge, NY and COL Timothy M. Baer and wife Deborah of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and a granddaughter, Sarah J. Baer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Grace L. Donnelly.
Graveside funeral services will be private. Burial will be at Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill, PA. Donations my be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital at www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org
