Scientific illustrator. She was elected a Fellow of the Entomological Society of London (Now the Royal Entomological Society) in 1880. She was an accomplished artist and her illustrations of insects of economic importance were often used by her sister Eleanor Ormerod in her publications and as lecture illustrations in agricultural colleges. Some of her original work is held by the Natural History Museum.

The grave was in poor condition, but was restored in December 2020 with funding from the Royal Entomological Society.
