Born in Portsmouth, VA, he was a son of the late Carl Francis Joseph Vedas and Thelma Scott Vedas. After high school, Mike joined the United States Air Force. He served for over 22 years retiring as a SMSGT. After his career in the Air force, Mike purchased his mortorcycle shop and soon became know around Sumter as “Motorcycle Mike". He loved to work on motorcycles and was the only mechanic in town that could work on British motorcycles. He was also a past member of ABATE of SC and served as a past president for Sumter County. He will be remembered a very loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, John Vedas and Richard Vedas.
