Andrew John Mahoney, 45, passed away January 30, 2020 at his home in Irmo, SC. He was born on December 10, 1974 at Fort Campbell, KY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3600 Devine Street, Columbia, SC 29205 with inurnment to follow St. Joseph Catholic Church columbarium. The family will receive friends following the service.

Andrew was employed at Casual Living Outdoor Furniture for many years. He also worked as a pizza chef at Villa Tronco Italian Restaurant. Andrew was a graduate of Cardinal Newman High School and the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. In his spare time, he enjoyed restoring old cars.

Survivors include his father, Donald J. Mahoney (Arlene) of Columbia, his brother, Joseph M. Mahoney (Anne) of Memphis, TN, his sister, Mary M. Ruisi (Steve) of Andover, MA, five nieces and nephews: Nathan T. Mahoney, Jonah L. Ruisi, Keira G. Mahoney, Olivia C. Ruisi and Bennett C. Ruisi and long term companion, Mary Beth Hearn. Andrew was pre-deceased by his mother, Christine Alt Mahoney.
