Mr. Darryl Henry Sweat, age 66, of Arab the Scant City area, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019.
Mr. Sweat was born on June 25, 1952 in Marshall County to Melvin Glen Sweat and Zola Mae Padgett Sweat. He retired from the service department at Sears. He enjoys junking, finding a yard sale and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
He was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church.
Mr. Sweat is survived by his wife of 42 years, Brenda Willis Sweat; sons & daughter-in-law, Craig Williamson, Buddy Sweat & Anna; grandchildren, Odessa Williamson, Austin Williamson, Tillie Ann Sweat, Henry Tate Sweat; sister & brother-in-law, Myra Sweat Nichols & Bill. Preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Glen Sweat and Zola Mae Padgett Sweat.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday April 20, 2019 at Sweet Home Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Lynch, Bro. Jerry Burgett & Bro. Andy Brown, officiating. Burial will be in Sweet Home Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing. Mr. Sweat will lie in state at the church ion Saturday one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Steve Clark, Jamie Bradshaw, Austin Williamson, Tate Sweat, Brandon Light, Charlie Conner, Jerry Willis. Honorary pallbearers include the Men of Joy Sunday School Class & Charles Martin.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
