He was born Sunday, May 29, 1938 in Plymouth, Indiana, Son of the late Melvin Huffer and the late Thelma (Miller) Huffer.
August 5, 2018 in LaPorte, Indiana, John married the for Shirley Eagan, she survives him.
John enjoyed hunting and rendezvous- camping 1860's style. John loved getting together and spending time with his family.
He worked maintance for Ancilla College.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Reynolds Huffer of Plymouth, Indiana, Step-son, John & Misty Reynolds of Syracuse, Indiana, Brother-in-law, Larry Keyser of Plymouth, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by parents Melvin and Thelma Huffer, brother Ronald Huffer and sisters Barbara Arnold, Beverly Hummel and Maxine Keyser.
Friends will be received 10 AM to 2 PM CST with Oddfellows service at 1 PM CST, Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox, Indiana.
Services will be held at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 2 PM CST with Albert Tolson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Oddfellows-Popular Grove Cemetery in Culver, Indiana.
