Christine Opal (Smart) Freeman, 80, of 1417 6th Ave. N.W., a retired insurance agent, died of natural causes Tuesday at her home.

At her request, no services are planned. Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home is handling cremation and arrangements. Memorials are suggested to Montana Peace Hospice.

She was born July 28, 1917, in Brady, and graduated from Brady High School in 1934. That year she married Patrick Freeman [Oct. 25, 1934] in Great Falls.

She was an insurance agent for Sogard Insurance and Yeoman Insurance, and was a Medicare counselor for the Great Falls Clinic and Blue Cross.

She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of Great Falls; three daughters, Sylvia Jung of Get Falls, Carol Duffey of Conrad and Loretta Stephens of San Bernardino, Calif.; a sister, Marie Crawford of Conrad; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.--Great Falls Tribune, Jan. 14, 1998, Pg. 2M
