After a seven month battle with cancer, our dear Sunny Andersen peacefully passed away on July 16th, 2018. She was just short of her second birthday (60 rat years). Sunny cheated death by being adopted by her crazy human parents when she was one month old (instead of being fed to a snake). While she had trouble interacting with people, she could always be counted on to take care of her cagemates. When new baby rats were brought into her home, she was often the first to groom and cuddle them and accept them in the cage. Sunny enjoyed meticulously arranging her food and taking naps in her favorite hammock. She is survived by her human parents Nay and Asa Andersen, and her adopted sisters Momo, Missy, Flower, Skunk, and Cocoa. She is proceeded in death by her beloved twin sister Olive. Her family takes comfort knowing that they are together again.
