From The Deseret News (Salt Lake City, UT) - Tuesday, November 18, 1997:
Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend is having a joyful reunion with her loved ones who have passed on before her. She died November 16, 1997, at the home of her daughter.

True was born January 29, 1907 in Randolph, Utah, to Thomas James and Emma Eliza Spencer Daniels. She was the seventh of eight children. As a young child, she moved with her family to Teton Valley, Idaho, and lived in the Bates Ward until the time she was married. She attended Teton Valley High School in Driggs, Idaho. She married Marion Eugene Lauritzen on September 21, 1927, in Driggs, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, on September 1, 1935.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served diligently in many callings. She loved to attend the temple and did so whenever she could. She raised six children with love and a quiet strength. She instilled in them many values which will always help them in their lives. Her quiet example and gentle spirit will continue to be part of all we are and all we do.

She is survived by her daughters, Emma Jean VanDetta (Larry), Myrna Fay Sluga (Max); and sons, Terrill Eugene Lauritzen (Nancy), John Delos Lauritzen (Mary Beth), and Phillip Wayne Lauritzen (Rowena); 21 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren, sister, Frances Bettger, many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Our thanks to Annette, Jan and Sarah for their loving care in helping take care of our mother.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 19, 1997, 11 a.m. conducted by the Salt Lake Tenth Ward, at the Douglas Ward Building, 721 South 12 East, Salt Lake City, where friends may call one hour prior to services and from 7-8 p.m., Wed. the 18th, at Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South. Interment, Wasatch Lawn.
