Mr. Maze was born on March 11, 1955 in Jefferson County to Mr. Garland Leroy Maze and Mary Emma Black Maze. He was a 1973 graduate of Arab High School and graduated from Auburn University in 1980 with a degree in Pharmacy. Mr. Maze had been a pharmacist for 38 years and recently worked with his "Jones Family" at Jones Pharmacy. He was a member of Marshall County ARC and Alabama Pharmacist Association. Danny enjoyed farming, tending to cattle, riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting and Auburn Football as well as many other sports. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Mason.
Mr. Maze was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years: Amanda Gibbs Maze; son and daughter-in-law; Sam and Candice Maze; daughter and son-in-law: Danielle and Eric Groves; grandson: Mason Groves; twin sister and brother-in-law, Rita and David Brand; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Patsy Gibbs, Bobbie and Ron Long, Gina and Jim Walley; nieces and nephew: Anna Walley, Louis Walley and Beth Streible. He was preceded in death by his sister, Melinda Maze.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Bro. Bryan Mosley and Sam Maze, officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will include; Louis Walley, Tim Grace, Daryl Grace, Roger Williams, Stok Black and Randy Howe.
Honorary pallbearers will include; Mark Black, Marvin Lathum, Doc Smith, his Auburn football buddies and his Jones Pharmacy family.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
