Billy Walker "Smiley" Turner died Saturday, February 3, 2018 at his residence.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Born in Dillon County, SC, March 24, 1964, he was the son of Myrtle Robinson Turner and the late George Walker Turner. Smiley was a 1983 graduate of Dillon High School where he was a Wildcat football player.
Survivors include his mother, Myrtle Turner of Dillon; daughter, Nikki (Huey) Locklear of Dillon; son, Billy "Mojo" (Heidi) Turner of Dillon; sisters, Bertie Elvis of Santee, Georgianna (Clarence) Cooper of Latta, Lisa (Ricky) Turner of Dillon, and Wanda (Joe) Taylor of Marion; grandchildren, Austin Locklear, Kelly Elizabeth Locklear, Chloe Carter, Trinity Kennison-Turner, and Elijah-Mack Walker Turner; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Smiley was a special nephew to his aunts and uncles.
Smiley was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Turner; father, George Turner; daughter, Kelly Turner; grandson, Caleb Locklear; and grandparents, Mae McDowell, Becky Powers, Sarah Robinson and Cllifton Robinson.
