Charlie Wayne Britt, 64, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon after a sudden illness.

Born in Dillon County, SC, on May 2, 1953, he was the son of the late Charlie Walker Britt and Evelina Cox Britt. He was a graduate of Latta High School and a member of Bethesda Southern Methodist Church in Oak Grove. Wayne was a lead welder with MarCo Manufacturing Company in Bennettsville. He loved his only daughter Amy as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Wayne is survived by his daughters Amy (Leon) Bethea and Cristen Gray both of Latta; brothers, Larry (Betty) Britt, Ronnie Britt and Sammy Britt all of Latta; and a sister, Donna Lynn Suggs of Florence; grandchildren, Kyliegh, Lauren, Jordan, La'Bron, Yashua, Gabriel, Nasir, Aaliyah and Leon, Jr.; and a great-granddaughter, Kendall Rayne; a special friend, Faye Gray of Latta; and by a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Bethesda Southern Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Carl Freeman. Burial directed by Cooper Funeral Home will follow in Bethesda Southern Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will have visitation from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Cooper Funeral Home in Dillon and other times at the family residence, 1961 Hwy. 38 West in Latta.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above and by his wife Deborah Crowley Britt and by a brother Johnny Britt.
