Richard L. "Dick" Schaffer passed away peacefully on Oct. 4, 2017. Age 96 years.

Loving husband of the late Carol (nee Rechlin). Loving dad of Richard (Ceil), Bonnie (Gil) Pierre and Dean (Jerri). Proud grandpa of Kari (Jamie) Cannestra, Michele (Pat) Goodreau, Todd (Kim) Schaffer, Steve (Amy) Pierre, Holly Schaffer, Cherie (Jeff) Klawitter, Lisa (Jason) Davis, Jessica (Charlie) Lunn and Derek Schaffer and great-grandpa of 17 great-grandchildren. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Richard was a member of McKinley Lodge #307, where he was a 32nd Degree Mason, he was a member of the Tripoli Shriners, he retired from the Milwaukee Road after 40 years and he is a WWII Veteran.

Visitation will be Sunday Oct. 8 at Emmanuel Community United Methodist Church, N84 W16707 Menomonee Ave., Menomonee Falls from 1 PM until the time of Funeral Services at 3 PM. Burial will be Mon. Oct. 9 at Valhalla Memorial Park at 10:30 AM (Please meet at the cemetery).

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Honor Flight Program or the Quilts of Valor are appreciated.
