"Death of Joseph Denehey at his Home This Morning
At 2:45 this morning, Joseph Denehey, aged 18, youngest son of W. P. Denehey, president of Common Council, died at the latter's residence, on South Second Street. He was taken ill less than a week ago with inflammation of the bowels and was unable to rally from the severe attack. All that medical skill could suggest was done to save the boy's life, but without avail. Joseph was in many ways a remarkable boy, his great love and devotion to his mother being so noticeable as to excite admiring comment among those who knew him. His death is a severe blow to his parents, who have the sincere sympathy of their friends. William R. Denehey, the eldest son, has gone to Chicago to meet his sister, Miss Maggie, who has been visiting in Denver for several months."
