Services for Michael Wayne Rogers will be held 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the Ellis Performing Arts Center in Latta with burial in Magnolia Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Home.

Mr. Rogers, 49, died Monday, March 27, 2017 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.

Born in Marion County, SC, October 17, 1967, he was the son of Bee Reaves and Phyllis Sawyer Reaves. He attended Sardis Baptist Church, and was the Assistant Principal at Dillon High School.

Survivors include his wife, Christy Burden Rogers of Latta; son, Thomas Martin of Latta; daughter, Ava Rogers of Latta; parents, Phyllis and Bee Reaves of Dillon; sister, Tammy (Steve) King of Lake View; brother, Stevie (Jane) Reaves of Hamer; mother & father-in-law, Ginni & John Burden of Latta; canine companion, Wes Monroe.

Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his infant daughters, Bonny and Kayley Rogers; and his grandfather, Ralph Rogers.
