Paul L Sieger, 88 of Blackfoot, ID, passed away March 1, 2017 at Bingham Memorial Hospital.
Paul was born on May 16, 1928 to Joseph “Joe” & Elsie Neff Sieger in Blackfoot ID. He had 1 older brother, Lawrence. He lived his entire life in Blackfoot where he attended St Margaret’s Catholic School and Blackfoot High School where he was on the boxing team. He graduated in 1947 and worked on the family farm in Rose. Later he worked at Basic American Foods for 35 years in the maintenance dept. On April 12, 1950 he married Deon “Dee” Shoemaker, they had 5 children. While Paul worked at Basic American Foods he also attended trade school at night in Pocatello. He was a great Father, Grandfather & Great-grand father. When Dee passed away in 1975 he worked very hard to keep his family together. He had lots of help from Aunts, Uncles & Friends. He was selfless and sacrificed many things to provide for his kids. Paul was very private, quiet and caring. He enjoyed welding, wood working, hunting, fishing and camping.
Paul is survived by, his children; Stephen J Sieger, Laura Trepanier, Anna (Lee) Nelson, Richard (Leslie) Sieger, all of Blackfoot ID. Grandchildren; S Joshua Sieger (CO), Nicholas T Bergstrom (NH), Alexis Sieger, Blackfoot ID. Great-Grandchildren; Jevon J Sieger, Jayda R Sieger (CO).
He was proceeded in death by, his parents, his wife Dee, daughter Catherine Ann Sieger and brother Lawrence.
