Dennis C. Lambert, age 64, of Portage, IN, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2007. Dennis worked as a truck driver retiring in 1997. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the American Legion Post #4 of Valparaiso and the Moose Lodge #980 of Michigan City. Dennis was an avid Sportsman and a Calumet Regional Strider who loved bike riding and skateboarding. Mr. Lambert is survived by two sons: Christopher C. Lambert of AZ and Joshua S. Lambert of Valparaiso, IN; two step-sons: Joseph and Eric (Gosia) Lindfeldt; two sisters: Sandra Hapke of Valparaiso, IN and Mary Lynn (Vangel) Phillip of Valparaiso, IN; one step-brother, Chuck (Donna) Lambert of Valparaiso, IN; two granddaughters: Julie and Sara Lindfeldt. He was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence and Ida Lambert; and wife, Donna Lambert. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, January 26, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows, 356 W. Seven Mile Road, Valparaiso, IN with Rev. Douglas J. Mayer officiating. There will be a procession to Calvary Cemetery immediately following the mass for entombment of cremains. Memorial visitation is one hour prior to the mass from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VNA Hospice of Porter County or the Hilltop House of Valparaiso.
