Elmo Thomas Poole Sr. was born May 8, 1888 in Winchendon, Mass. He was the son of Lorenzo Tarr Poole (1849-1934) and Abby Ann (Felch) Poole (1848-1929). Elmo passed away March 23, 1930 in Worcester, Mass after a battle with Tuberculosis. He was 41 years old.

Elmo was predeceased by his mother Abbie and his brother John Damon Poole.

Elmo was one of five children. His siblings were John D. Poole, Mabel W. Poole, Marilla B. Poole, and Isella M. Poole.

Elmo left his father, his wife of 15 years Ruby H. (Richardson) Poole McMenemy (1893-1964), and his children Ralph B. Poole (1915-1965), Marion C. Boyle (1917-2009), Eleanor B. Remillard (1919-2019), Forrest R. Poole (1920-1995), Elmo T Poole Jr. (1922-1999), and Norma M. (Poole) Hammond (1929-2005).

Elmo would also leave before meeting his grandchildren Lorna M. Dion, David R. Poole, William E. Poole, Charles Paul, Susan Paul, Judith Paul, John Sepavich, Frank Rogers, Beverly Rogers, Linda Rogers, Phillip Poole, Priscilla Poole, Phyllis Poole, Robert Poole, Rodney Poole, Richard Poole (1946-2013), Marilyn Poole, Thomas Poole, Kim Malpass, Donald G. Berry Jr, Cheryl DelSignore, Donna Scott, James LeBouef and Michael LeBouef.
