In 1853, her parents and their children emigrated to Australia. They arrived at Melbourne in January, 1853 and her mother died within 6 months of arrival.
In 1871 she met and married CHANG WOO GOW, while he was on tour of Australia as "The Chinese Giant". They married on 7th November, 1871 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
They had two sons - ERNEST born in France 1877 and EDWIN in 1879 also born in France.
She is buried with her grieving husband who died just a few weeks after her.
Her husband CHANG wished for his grave to remain unadorned and requested no headstone to be erected on his grave.
