Kirsten Ione Allen, age 72, of Atlanta, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Rapides General Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana.


Born Monday, January 24, 1944, in Winnfield, Louisiana to Henry Earl and Ruby G Allen, she was the youngest of 5 children.


She was a graduate of Atlanta High School and attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La, graduating in 2005, on the Deans List, with a CIS/Management Degree.


Kirsten worked for many years with Kirby vacuum sales. She was also an amazing artist, doing artwork from a hobby to professional to teaching art, including hundreds of portraits at Kirsten on the Strand in Galveston, TX, and Pier One at Magnolia Beach, TX. She also did air brushing and t-shirt and jewelry design. Through her college coursework she developed a love for web design and designed several local business and church websites. In 2011, she began working as Justice of the Peace Winn Parish.


Kirsten was a very kind hearted, giving, caring person who loved her family and friends deeply. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. In her spare time, she loved playing online card games with her friends.


She was a member of the Atlanta Baptist Church, in Atlanta, La and loved her church family.


Kirsten was preceded in death by her parents Henry Earl and Ruby G Allen, brothers Joe Dee and John Dale Allen, and daughter Sherri Sarvaunt Treme'.


Memorial services will be held Friday September 23th at 3:00 PM at the Atlanta Baptist Church, 12137 Main Street, Hwy 34, Atlanta, La, with Rev Dusty Durbin officiating. Burial will follow at the Atlanta Community Cemetery behind the Atlanta Methodist Church. Supper will be provided by the Atlanta Baptist Church following the burial. Friends and Family are invited to attend.
