SCHENECTADY - Fred Saka, formerly of the Holyrood House, Scotia, and Fifth Street, died Nov. 23 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, N.J., after a long illness.
Born in Houston, Mr. Saka attended high school in Brooklyn.
For many years, he worked in sales for several Capital Region companies.
Mr. Saka was a member of the Odd Fellows Brotherly Love Lodge, the Edison Club, and the Shaker Ridge Country Club.
He was of the Jewish faith.
His wife, Frances Monaco Saka, died this past April 4.
Survivors include two brothers, Dave Saka of Oakhurst, N.J. and Jack Saka of Elberon, N.J.
Services were conducted Nov. 23 in Long Branch, N.J.
Burial was in United Hebrew Cemetery, Staten Island.
Arrangements were by the Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapel.
