Rick D. Bagley

OTTUMWA – Rick D. Bagley, 70 of Ottumwa died at 3:45 a.m. July 3, 2016 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

He was born July 14, 1945 in Ottumwa to Raymond Edgar and Edna Christina Noftz Bagley. He married Georgia A. Crouse on July 23, 1965 and they did everything together.

A graduate of Ottumwa High School in 1963, he had served in the United States Air Force for four years having served in Vietnam and later had served in the Iowa National Guard. He worked for Norris Chrysler, Target, Pamida and 16 years at Excel retiring in 2010. He had attended the First Church of the Open Bible. Rick was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes and Cleveland Indians fan.

Surviving is his wife, Georgia; sister, Jacque Parr of Ottumwa; two brothers, Roy (Georgia) Bagley of Westminster, C and Ray (Jannie) Bagley of Vacaville, CA.

He was preceded in death by his precious son, Todd Bagley and daughter-in-law Stacie Bagley; his parents and step father; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, George and Marcene Crouse and a brother, Robert Bagley.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Hornback officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery with military services conducted by Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars and O.B. Nelson Post #3 American Legion.

Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials may be made to the family for medical expenses.
