Autopsy Ordered - In 28-Year-Old Woman's Death. An autopsy was ordered last night to determine cause of the death of Mrs. Mary Lou Abbott, Abbott, 28 years old. 6200 Brookville Road, Trailer No. 18, who died yesterday morning after a long illness. Sheriffs: Investigator Gene Wayman said he was told by Mrs. Abbott's nurse and doctor that she had been under care for leukemia and diabetes and had been advised that death was imminent. Wayman said he believes Mrs. Abbott died as the result of her illness. However, an autopsy was ordered after Deputy Marion County Coroner Coroner Daniel G. Gleich made a preliminary investigation at the trailer home. She died in bed, in the presence of her nurse and an aunt, Wayman said. Mrs. Abbott was born in Macon County, Tennessee, and had been an Indiana resident 20 years. She worked for a baking company for two years before her illness.
