Flanders (nee Kock), loving father of Michael (Julie Hotchkiss), Mark (Shannon), Marianne (Don) James, Amy (Chris) Biersack and Julie, dear grandfather of Alice, Cyrus, Joe, Henry, Heather, Melanie, Alex and Andy, brother of Maureen Healy of Massachusetts, John Flanders of Connecticut and the late Sam and Glenn Flanders of Connecticut.

WWII Airforce Veteran

Urban lived in Windsor Locks, CT and Cincinnati, OH. He attended Windsor Locks High School, class of 1941 and Brown University, Providence, RI, class of 1949. He was in Sales for 36 years from 1949-1985 and Substitute teacher at Western Hills High School for 8 years, 1986-1994. He was a lector at St. Dominic, Mentor at Oyler School, volunteer for adult literacy of East Price Hill, volunteer at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed Lawrence Welk, Cincinnati Pops, travel, Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, teasing. He was the best husband, father and grandfather anyone could ask for.
