Early Life: Fred was born in Provo, Utah, on May 4, 1929, to Fred Duke and Marian Vincent Peay Mecham.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: He met his eternal companion at a dance; it was love at first sight and they never looked back. They were always together no matter what. They were married on December 19, 1947, in the Salt Lake Temple. He is a faithful loving son of our Heavenly Father, serving in many callings, always going the extra mile and expressing his love and gratitude to others. He has a strong testimony of the Savior and loved serving in the Temple. Family was very important to him and he enjoyed the time he spent hunting and fishing with them. Grandpa always caught his limit of one fish and he always had a full jar of candy with a limit of two. Fred Dan Mecham returned to our Heavenly Father on September 26, 2015. He was 86.
Survived By: Four children, 32 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all.
Preceded In Death By: His wife; three sons: Fred, Elden and Kyle; and his parents.
