Graveside service for Richard E. Smart, 82, is set for 1:30 p.m. today at Scotts Valley Cemetery, Tum Tum, Wash. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Smart, who was born in Wilbur, Wash, died Saturday.
He worked with the union iron workers in construction and had been retired for more than 40 years.
His wife of 62 years, Evelyn Smart, died earlier this year.
Mr. Smart was a member of the Boilermakers Union.
Survivors include a daughter, Judee Vandenburg of Spokane; a sister, Jane; a brother, Virgil Smart of Yakima; and three grandchildren.
