Melanie Kay Hummel, 43, of Woodland died Thursday, May 28, 2015 in Boggs Township.
Born Dec. 3, 1971 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Floyd A. Maines of Woodland and the late Cheryl Ann Welker Maines.
Mrs. Hummel was a 1989 graduate of the Clearfield Area High School. She graduated from Penn State DuBois in 1991 with an Associate's degree.
She also graduated from the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center as a licensed practical nurse. She was employed by Bayada Home Health, State College.
She was married to Darrel J. Hummel Jr. on May 9, 1992 in Mineral Springs. He survives in Woodland.
She's survived by two sons, Micah Hummel and Dalton Hummel, both at home. She's survived by a sister, Angela Jean Hassinger and her husband, Joseph and a brother, Wade Maines and his wife, Latisha, both of Woodland.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Hummel was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Lake Street United Methodist Church, Woodland, with Pastor Sean Smith officiating.
Friends will be received from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
