Shirley's early years in Pennsylvania were grounded in family and Christian faith in the Free Methodist Church.
June 11th this year would have marked her 60th year in marriage to the love of her life, Bob Eddy. Starting their life in Warren, Ohio, Shirley's primary focus was always serving God, loving her husband and raising their three children, Chuck, Lana and Lindy. The family moved to Canfield, Ohio in 1972 and over the next 43 years, Shirley's complete joy was to support and nurture a growing family. She thrived until her last moment supporting, loving and nurturing her six grandchildren and one great- grandson..
Old North Baptist Church in Canfield was the place where Shirley joyfully glorified God and served Him in teaching, greeting and choir ministry.
She leaves behind those who love her the most with so many memories, an empty space in their hearts, but a rejoicing confidence knowing she is finally home on the "Streets of Gold."
Surviving Shirley is her husband, Bob, her son, Chuck (Kathy) Eddy, daughter Lana (Clay) Campfield, Lindy (Chuck) Baker and 6 grandchildren; Kelly (Pete), Chuckie (Shannon), Bobby (Fiance' Santana), Adam, Morgan, Paige and great-grandson, Georgie all of Canfield. Also surviving her are her brothers and sister, Kenneth Brest, Robert Brest, Tom Brest and Nancy Sassaman. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Kenneth and Isabelle Brest of Sharon, Pennsylvania and her brother, William Brest of Mercer, Pennsylvania.
