Age 71, of Eau Claire, died Tuesday, March 31, 2015 after a brief illness at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. She was born April 3, 1943 in Dearborn, Michigan to Helen (King) and Byron Baldwin. She grew up in Michigan and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in 1961.
She served in the US Navy from October 1962 until her honorable discharge in July 1964. She met the love of her life, Donald Flint, while serving in the military. They married on July 17, 1965 in Virginia. They resided in Bloomer where Betty worked as a nursing assistant at Hetzel’s Care Center and then worked as a surgical technician at the Bloomer Hospital for over 30 years. Once retired, the couple moved to Ironwood, Michigan where they enjoyed life on Lake Superior. Donald preceded her in death on July 16, 2011 and Betty moved to Eau Claire to be near family. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her step- father, Claude Wise; her husband, Donald; a brother, Harold; a sister-in-law, Judy Baldwin and a brother-in-law, Carl Marsh.
