LEAGUEVILLE-Funeral services for Marilyn Sue Colley Smith of Leagueville are scheduled for 1:00 P M Tuesday at Leagueville Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Bragdon and Bro. Thomas McGarity officiating.

Burial will follow in Leagueville Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith passed away February 28, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born April 17, 1937 in Ben Wheeler to the late James Vardaman and Vivian Brantley Colley. She married William Wayne Smith August 6, 1954 in Leagueville. Together they shared many memories during their sixty year marriage. Sue had numerous talents including quilting, cooking and singing in the Leagueville Baptist Church choir where she was a lifelong member. Her family will miss her smile, her warm hugs and her unwavering loyalty. Sue was loved by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Bobby Don and James Colley.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 60 years Wayne Smith of Leagueville; sons Stan Smith and wife Dora of Combine, Wade Smith of Leagueville, Scott Smith of Dallas; daughters Waynette Dingler and husband Len of Nocona and Shanna Smith of Leagueville; sister in law Dot Skrobanek of Humble; grandchildren Regan Smith, Cne Smith, Brennan Dingler, Blair Dingler, Bryce Dingler, Jaycie Smith, Morgan Smith, Timothy Smith; great grandchildren Riley, Ella and Nolan Smith of Leagueville, Braxton Savell, Madison and Trey Smith; sisters Shirley Gibbs of Monahans, Arletta Inman of Chandler, Glenda Bearden of Edom, Molly Campbell of Timpson, Marsha Stephens of Brownsboro, brother Larry Colley of Kingsville, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Rick Wyatt, Greg Wyatt, Bryce Dingler, Brennan Dingler, Timothy Smith and Glenn Colley.

Visitation for family and friends will be 5:30 - 7:30 P M Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to an Alzheimer’s organization in memory of Marilyn Sue Smith.
