Jack Cadden was born in Manitoba in 1889, the son of William and Julia (Kelly) Cadden. He married Eleanor Smith in 1915, and the two raised seven children together in Mara, British Columbia. Eleanor passed away in 1943, and five years later Jack wed Laura (Dubreuil) Gorringe and added her son to the family. Jack passed away in 1968, predeceased by both his parents and his and Eleanor's eldest son, Edward.
