DEATH: Grace Cooper Roby March 9, 2005 FOREST,(MS) Services for Grace Cooper Roby will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Forest Baptist Church. Burial will be in Eastern Cemetery. Ott and Lee Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Roby, 89, of Forest, died Sunday, March 6, 2005, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born on Feb. 20, 1916 in Hinton, Ala., to the late Emmitt Cooper and Jennie Anderson Cooper Birdsong of Meridian. She graduated from Quitman High School. She had been a resident of Forest since 1940, where she and her late husband, Allen Douglas Roby, owned and operated Roby Egg Farm and Roby Antique Barn. She was involved in the community as she served as Cub Scout den mother for her two sons and a Girl Scout leader and charter member of the Mid-Century Club. She was a member of Forest Baptist Church for more than 65 years and was a former Sunday school teacher. Survivors include her sons, John Allen Roby and his wife, Ann, of Forest and Douglas Cooper Roby of Brandon; a daughter, Dana Roby Moore of Ocean Springs; grandchildren, Jana R. Heimer and her husband, William, of Brandon, Catherine Roby of Forest and Allen D. Roby II, of Brandon; two great-grandchildren, Anna Grace and Emma Heimer of Brandon; a brother, Harry G. Cooper of California; sisters, Janice Featherstone and Marie Graham, both of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Wyatt Cooper, Elsie Cooper Luke, Annie Laurie Crawford and Preston "Sonny" Cooper. Memorials may be made to Baptist Children's Village, P.O.
