Elizabeth was one of ten children born to Nathan and Elizabeth Heacock in Leeds County, Canada West - now known as Ontario. According to Jonas Develbiss @ http://marshall.illinoisgenweb.org/histories/biographies/divelbissjonas.htm
other siblings of Elizabeth are brother Russell E. Hecock (Heacock), and sister Minerva, who married a Mr. Gyle in Canada. According to the Leeds Co Canada West census in 1852, Mrs. Nathan Heacock resided with Minerva and another male child.
Elizabeth married John Hindmarsh in Leeds County, and to this union were born, all in Leeds County, Canada West:
1. Theodore Hindmarsh born March 9, 1844. Theodore went to Henry, Illinois with his parents, and then later to Topeka, Kansas around 1900.
2. Adaline Hindmarsh born April 7, 1846, died (soon after 1852 Leeds County census) on March 29, 1852.
3. Ralphf - died in infancy August 16, 1848
4. Fatema born Feb 21, 1852. Moved with parents to Henry, Illinois, later married Perry Noland and died in Oklahoma.
5. Harmon, born Aug. 11, 1849 in Canada, went to Henry Illinois, and then to Canton, Kansas.
6. Anna Hindmarsh, born Jan. 21, 1855. Went to Henry, Illinois, then to Canton, Kansas.
7. Percy Hindmarsh born Nov. 8, 1859 in Henry Illinois.
