Richard Eugene Ferrell, 65, of Massillon, died Thursday evening in Aultman Hospital in Canton following a lengthy illness. He was born March 15, 1934, in Freeport, Ohio, a son of the late Beulah Jane Decker Ferrell. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U. S. Army occupational forces from 1956-58. He retired in 1994 as a millwright from Canton Drop Forge after 30 years of service. Surviving are his wife Beverly, whom he married on Nov. 24, 1956; two daughters, two sons, and three grandchildren. The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Reed Funeral Home Canton with Rev. Gene Hydrick officiating. Burial is in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Calling hours are from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Pub in 4 sep 1999 Massillon Independent.
