Mary E. Albaugh, 104, New Salem, North Dakota, passed away, Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Elm Crest Manor, New Salem. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 28, 2014, at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan with Rev. Dale Nabben officiating. Burial will be in Hazelton Cemetery, Hazelton, North Dakota. Visitation is scheduled for one hour prior of the service at the funeral home.

Mary was born April 16, 1910, at Willow Lake, South Dakota, to Clarence and Pearl (Lamont) Cowles. She was raised and educated in Minnesota and North Dakota. On October 27, 1926, she married Harley Albaugh in Linton. Mary worked as a farmwife–helping on the farm and raising the kids. She enjoyed playing cards, dice, board games, crocheting, yard work, sewing and horseback riding, but she especially enjoyed time spent with family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Darlene Anderson and Lina Gaab, both of Bismarck; three sons James (Kathy) Albaugh, Benson, Arizona, Lester (Margaret) Albaugh, New England, North Dakota and Harold Albaugh, Idaho; and numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son, Allan Albaugh; daughter, Lillian Albaugh; sister, Vera Gilman; four brothers, Charley, Floyd, Chet, and Hubert; granddaughter, Lorraine Woodland; great-granddaughter, Jessica Keller; and two great-grandsons, Ryan Fetzer and Jason Gaab.
