Betty Jean Curtis, 68 of 537 W. Washington St., Rushville passed away at 7:04 p.m. Thursday, December 8th, 2005 at the Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
She was born on Wednesday, March 17th, 1937 at home in Astoria, IL. She was the daughter of Eldon and Leona Katherine Ebbert Smith. She married Lyle E. Curtis December 25th, 1955 in Rushville. He passed away August 10th, 1986.
Surviving is her mother Leona Smith of Rushville; three daughters, Debbie Curtis of Rushville, Diane Wise & husband Kevin of Rushville, Kim Lewis & husband Mike of Vermont; one sister, Linda Billingsley of Huntsville; three brothers, Donald L. Smith & wife Sondra of Astoria, Robert Smith & wife Rebecca of Newman, IL, Dennis Smith & wife Judy of Frederick, IL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father. She worked at Rushville IGA and Beardstown Wal-Mart.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 12, 2005 at the Worthington Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Kirkham officiating. Internment will be in the Christian Neck Cemetery northeast of Rushville.
