In 1918, Raymond and his girlfriend, Marguerite Lyle, became the parents of a daughter, Bette Jane Campbell.
After working various jobs, in 1921, Raymond began a 30-year career with Pennsylvania Railroad in Altoona.
In 1922, he married Alice Wicker and they became the parents of his second daughter, Lois Magdalene. His wife, Alice, died in 1942 of Diabetes. Just shy of three years later, his daughter, Lois Magdalene, a young mother of two small sons, died of the same disease.
In 1942, Raymond married for a second time to Mary Ruth Reffner. A son, Joseph R. Campbell was born in 1944.
Raymond died on May 29, 1973 at the age of 75. His wife, Mary, never remarried and lived to the age of 90. She passed away in 1997. They are buried in Altoona.
