Dean Martin Hoyer, 42, died Oct. 25, 2005, in Baltimore, Md. Mr. Hoyer was born in Berks County, Reading, Pa., April 8, 1963. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and owner and operator of Dean Hoyer the Stump Destroyer in Virginia Beach. Survivors include his daughter, Kelley Hoyer of Virginia Beach; his mother, Peggy Bray Imbriaco of Norfolk; his father, Paul Martin Hoyer of Virginia Beach; sister, Paula H. Whilden of Norfolk; brothers, Michael Hoyer of Chesapeake and Craig Hoyer of Baltimore, Md.; nephews, Eric, Greg and Chris Whilden, Paul, Michael and Bradley Hoyer; a niece, Stacie Hoyer; a great-niece, Cayla Whilden and great-nephew, Carson Whilden. A graveside funeral will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in Stokley Cemetery near the Albemarle Hospital in Elizabeth City, N.C., with the Rev. Mason Smith officiating.
