Mary Fettyplace was baptized at First Congregational Church, Marblehead, Massachusetts. On 17 December 1828 she married Lewis Endicott, son of Moses and Anna (Towne) Endicott.

From the genealogy of David B. Robinson, Lewis was the grandson of Charles Moses Endicott and Sarah Rolland Blythe of Windsor, VT. Charles was a commercial merchant in the East India trade and a bank cashier. Lewis Endicott was also a commercial shipper. In 1850, Lewis resided in E. Boston.
