Rosa Margaret Samples nee Burrichter, daughter of Henry Burrichter and Fredricka Leimkuhler; wife of Daniel Samples.

Rosa was pregnant when she died of influenza in Carter County, Missouri, three days before her husband Daniel's death. Daniel is buried in Eastwood Cemetery in Carter County.

According to Rosa and Daniel's son, Sterling, Rosa's family claimed her body and returned her to the family burial site, now St. Matthews Cemetery in Riverside, Missouri.

Rosa is buried next to the memorial marker for her son Floyd Samples.
