Hortense was the youngest child of David & Augusta Schwartz. She married Adolph Eliasberg in New York, in 1895. They made their home in Selma, AL, and later in Baltimore. Adolph passed away in 1915. She married Simon Grief, who passed away in 1917. She had three children - Louis, Joan, and Audrey.
