Industrial Engineer and entrepreneur. He founded Barella and Bultó SL, a manufacturer of aircraft engine segments. In 1945 he had his first business success with Montesa, a company created jointly with Peter Permanyer, dedicated to the manufacture of motorcycles: the "Montesa Brío" for the people, and the "Montesa Sprint" in the World Championship circuits that supported the brand's business. In 1958 he decided to leave his partner, and founded "Bultaco" factory that produced the motorcycles "Bultaco Tralla 101", "Bultaco TSS" and the legendary "Bultaco Sherpa T", with which Ricardo Tormo and Angel Nieto won two motorcycle World Championships. He was also successful in the industries textile, chemical-pharmaceutical and heavy machinery, becoming the main employer in Catalonia.
