Mary Elizabeth Pearce Davis, 94, of Jasper, GA formerly of Waycross died Thursday evening (July 11, 2013) at her daughter's residence after an extended illness. She was born in the Sycamore Community of Turner County to the late William Thomas Pearce and Janie Ellerbee Pearce. Mrs. Davis made her home in Waycross for most of her life and moved to Jasper, GA in 2007 to live with her daughter. She was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband J. Thomas Davis, one son, Larry E. Davis and two brothers.
Survivors include two sons, Gary L. Davis and his wife Harriett of Waycross, Tom Davis and his wife Diane of Lafayette, GA; one daughter, Jackie Davis Gise and her husband Bobby of Jasper, GA; seven grandsons, one granddaughter, 9 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; two nieces, Gail Davis of Atlanta and Linda Davis of Waycross; two nephews, W.D. Davis of Atlanta and Jerry Pearce of Aspen, CO.
A funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 11 am at the Greenlawn Mausoleum. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
