She graduated from Wichita County Community High School in Leoti in 1942. She was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church and the Altar Society. On Sept. 9, 1946, she married Gilbert Herber Ulbrich. He died Oct. 23, 2008. Survivors include: two sons, Charles M. and wife Mary of Buhler, and Robert M. and wife Brenda of Hutchinson; two daughters, Judy A. Pontious and husband Gene of Parsons and Cathy A. Herren and husband Luke of South Hutchinson; sister, Helen Pelnar of Holcomb; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Christina was preceded in death by five sisters, Blanch Brungardt, Rose Naab, Emma Naab, Clara Guidotti, and Isabel Dixon; two brothers, Harry and Victor Paul; and an infant son, James Ulbrich.
Parish Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Hutchinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, at the church, with Father Nicholas Voelker presiding. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday with the family to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Elliott Mortuary. Memorials may me made to the church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
