Our subject, Jane "Jenny" Casey, married Robert Paxton in 1803. He was killed at the Battle of New Orleans in 1815.
Jenny Paxton's father, Col. Casey, died in 1816. Some years later, Jenny's mother, Jane Montgomery Casey, and most of her children resettled in Irish Grove, Illinois (now a ghost town) and, later, West Point, Lee County, Iowa. Jenny Paxton's mother and three of her siblings (Margaret, Green, and Annie) spent their remaining years in West Point, Iowa. Jenny Paxton herself was living on a farm near West Point, with her son, Thompson, at the time of the 1850 Census.
By 1854, Thompson had moved to Lawrence County, Missouri, and was farming there. Jenny moved with him. She died in 1858.
