CORA E. ADAMS SERVICES HELD
Funeral services were held today for Mrs. Cora E. Adams, longtime Reno resident who died Saturday at her home in Reno. Commital will be in the Masonic cemetery.
Mrs. Adams, who has been ill for several months, first came to Nevada in 1907 shen she and her husband, Verner L. Adams, operated a hotel at the mining camp of Wonder. They lived in several other Nevada communities before settling in Reno, including Buckihorn, Fairview, Aurora and Thompson.
Mrs. Adams was born in Carrollton, Illinois, December 14, 1882, and was married to Mr. Adams in Canon City, Colorado, in 1902. She was active here in the woman's auxillary of the Baptist Church and was well known in this community.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Miss Eva Adams and Mrs. (Alice) David P. Herstine, both of Reno; a brother, W.J. Varble of Toledo, Ohio; one grandson, David P. Herstine, Jr.; and one great-grandaughter, Susan Herstine.
