1st. Lt. Robert Roy Dimick, along with three other crewmembers, died in the crash of their Air Force C-118 transport aircraft on April 1, 1959, near McChord AFB in Washington. He belonged to the 58th Air Transport Squadron, McGuire AFB, New Jersey.
