Joseph Palmer was the oldest of two sons and the light of his family's life.

An avid outdoorsman, he loved to raft and ski, which he started at a very young age by rafting most of the rivers and skiing on most of the mountains in Oregon with his family. Later, he took up rock climbing and enjoyed climbing in Yosemite National Park and Mt. Lemmon, north of Tuscon.

Joe had an easy-going charm and a smile that would put everyone at ease. A bright student, Joe went to school in Newport, OR, graduating from Newport High School and eventually went on to get a degree in geological engineering from the University of Arizona. He used that degree to become a geolocial engineer in Sonora, California......a bright future cut short.

Sadly, he was taken away from his friends and family much too soon and is missed terribly, not only by his mother, father and brother but the rest of his family and the many friends he made.
